The Abbeyfield Society incorporates 250 societies. Together, they run around 700 houses to provide accommodation for 7,500 residents and are supported by 7,000 volunteers. While staff in Abbeyfield's head office in St Albans, Hertfordshire, run a large number of Abbeyfield houses and care homes, many are still managed independently by volunteers.
Abbeyfield currently owns and manages around 200 houses and around 20 care homes, with a further 250 affiliated Abbeyfield Society Houses and 60 care homes across the UK.
