Abbeyfield UK currently has over 200 supported sheltered houses across England.

Abbeyfield UK Supported Sheltered Housing is intended for anyone over the age of 55 who no longer feels happy coping alone at home, but is still reasonably fit and active and wants to live in a friendly and supportive environment.

Each of our houses offers residents their own private self-furnished room, most with en suite facilities and with security and companionship of other people.

Residents enjoy the use of a shared dining room and attractive gardens and most houses have a communal lounge.  A warm and homely atmosphere is created by the staff and local volunteers who are linked to each house.

Our staff consult with residents on a regular basis to ensure that the support offered and the choices of home cooked nutritious meals each day are always appropriate for individual needs.

In many of our houses, local GP’s hold surgeries, whilst district nurses and other practitioners also visit on a regular basis.

We strongly encourage contact with the local community with strong links to outside organisations and volunteers.

In many houses, Managers (with other local staff) provide the main meals and take care of the house.  There are no bills or repairs to worry about.  All houses have someone on duty during the day and there is 24 access to access to emergency support for peace of mind outside working hours.

Residents are regularly consulted to ensure that a suitable range of organised activities and outings to local attractions take place in and around each of our houses.

Abbeyfield UK fees are inclusive of food and all utility bills with the exception of your telephone bill.  A telephone point is available in every room should you wish to install a telephone at your expense.  You can use your own TV in your room and may be eligible for a concessionary TV license.  Details of charges are available on request.

Abbeyfield UK is dedicated in providing the highest quality services and staff.
