Abbeyfield UK currently has 20 care homes in England providing 24 hour care services tailored to individual requirements.
Some homes offer nursing care or provide special facilities for the care of older people with dementia. Each care home has well trained and qualified staff who care for residents under the supervision of a professional manager.
Our residents have their own bed-sitting rooms. All rooms have emergency call alarms and many also have en suite facilities.
Residents enjoy the use of a communal lounge, dining room and attractive gardens. A warm and homely atmosphere is created by the staff and local volunteers who are linked to each home. Our staff consult with residents on a regular basis to ensure that the 24 hour care offered and the choices of nutritious meals are always appropriate for individual needs.
All Abbeyfield UK care homes have visiting hairdressing services and chiropody services. In many of our homes, local GP’s hold surgeries, whilst district nurses and other practitioners also visit on a regular basis.
Residents are consulted to ensure that a suitable range of organised activities and outings to local attractions take place in and around each of our homes.
We strongly encourage contact with the local community with strong links to outside organisations and volunteers. Visiting is welcome at any reasonable time of the day or by arrangement with the care home manager.
Abbeyfield UK fees are inclusive of food and all utility bills with the exception of your telephone bill. A telephone point is available in every room should you wish to install a telephone at your expense. You can use your own TV in your room and should be eligible for a concessionary TV license. All our care homes are regularly inspected by the Commission for Social Care Inspection (CSCI) which registers, inspects and reports on social care services in England. Each of our care homes has a report which is available to read and download from the CSCI website.
